Fishing

The Mitchell, Nicholson and Tambo Rivers, together with the Gippsland Lakes and Ninety Mile Beach offer a diversity of fishing and catches. Varieties of fish to be taken include bream, mullet, luderick, tailor, garfish, whiting, and flathead. The Ninety Mile Beach offers salmon, flathead, mulloway, tailor and gummy shark. A Fishing Report is compiled weekly and is available from the Bairnsdale Visitors Centre.
